FROM ACE TO AGAME
New Canadian Boutique Brand Designed for Ladies Who Do Tennis
Toronto – Andrea Watley, former designer and president of ACE Collections, is pleased to announce the creation of her new boutique line of women’s sports fashion and accessories under the AGame label, available to customers exclusively through www.agame.com.
The AGame collection is aimed at a specific Canadian market made up of private clubs and tennis leagues. It launches this spring with a full complement of on-court styles that promise to deliver “an awesome line-up of whites that incorporate fit and classic styling,” says Watley. “These looks are cheeky and sexy in a way that works for most figure types, from extra-small through to extra-large.” Watley adds that they also do custom teamwear and plus sizes on request.
“The line is meant for ladies who play four to eight times a week and demand a high-quality product with the type of style that mirrors their own off-court wardrobe.”
AGame features product models with easy-to-remember names such as Sonia, Miranda, Rachel, Jules, Chloë and Coco, so customers can choose a certain style and stick to it like their BFF.
Design selections include subtle change-ups, such as sleeves that can morph from strict arm coverage into a racerback tank. Classic lace and ruffles play a strong trend role in delivering a feminine, fashion-timely look for the on-court warrior.
Fabric is key, says Watley: “I went back to the mill and we created a custom Supplex that provides enough compression to slim and trim out any figure. It’s specifically formulated to deliver comfort, a silky cottony feel, and wick away perspiration.”
The local mill also ensured that the selected white shade will never appear grey, even after repeated washing, and will match perfectly with any consecutively milled piece, so the colour always remains consistent.
AGame’s Phase I line-up includes dresses, ruffled skorts, a three-quarter lace cardies, twirl skirts in embroidered Rosea lace, three-zip jackets with lace-lined hoodies, and more. Phase II will include the much-coveted ‘cottage dress,’ jackets with frill trim, and Capri pants – all unbranded for that polished Towne & Country look and feel, ideal whether boarding a plane for Barcelona or heading up to Muskoka.
The AGame collection offers quality, Canadian-made luxury at very affordable $45 - $160 price points, allowing customers to purchase and coordinate multiple pieces at a single time.
A ‘by invitation’ direct sales launch will take place on April 24th at Tony Scrivener Sq. in Rosedale. The website will post the invitation.
